We're decorating a little early for Valentine's Day in our home. I love Valentine's Day for all of its beautiful colors, cutesy hearts, and imperfections. In this post I'll share with you my DIY decor for Valentine's Day. It's super affordable, and easy. I purchased everything for this project in the "Dollar Spot" at Target, minus the few things I already had at home.
I cut one triangle out of each print and hole punched two parallel holes across the top. I already had some left over Pom Pom balls (purchased at Joann Fabrics) left over from a Christmas strand I made, so I separated blue, pink, red, and white to add to this banner. I then used red and white bakers twine, and a small tapestry needle (for the Pom poms) to string it all together.
Moving on to the "wreath." So I made this out of an old book for my Christmas decorations this year, I just updated it with a clearly imperfect centerpiece. I used more of the book pages, cut out two different size hearts from two prints, and added some Pom poms around the edge.
I hope you enjoyed this super easy tutorial on the products I used and how I used them to complete this simple decoration. The total crafting time was about a half an hour, while the little one and her friend painted nails. So fear not my fellow-mamas! Crafting can be done with children in the house! You just have to be willing to be perfectly imperfect.
